CURRENT FUNGUS STUDIES

The Center for Skin Research is the dermatological research division of Suzanne Bruce and Associates. Dr. Bruce and her other physicians are board-certified dermatologists. The Center was founded in 1999 and conducts clinical research trials for major pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations seeking Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.

We are currently seeking participants for the following fungus studies. Fungal infections are common and thrive in a dark, damp environment. They can occur on fingernails, but are more commonly found on the foot. Affected nails can have an opaque discoloration, and may thicken or become brittle.

ONYCHOMYCOSIS (TOENAIL FUNGUS)
If you have white, opaque, thickened, brittle toenails and are between 18 – 70 years old, you may qualify for this one-year clinical research study. Investigational topical medication for the fungal infection, called onychomycosis, will be used. Qualified participants will attend as many as 15 office visits over the one-year study. They will receive study-related care and study medication at no charge and be compensated for time and travel.

Health insurance is not needed.
