Healthy and beautiful skin starts below the surface in complex tissue called collagen. Collagen is the basic building block of the skin and provides the foundation that supports the skin’s structure. When collagen is damaged by either the sun, by repeated inflammation from chronic acne or simply by depletion over time, the skin appears thinner and less elastic.
