As early as our 20’s fine lines develop on and around the lips. Our lips are particularly sensitive to sun exposure and the resulting damage. They lose collagen and elasticity becoming thinner, less firm and losing contour.
We have added a new product, the TNS LipPlump System, to decrease the look of fine lines, plump and improve contour around the lips, and enrich natural color. The LipPlump System is a two-step process. Step one is lip renewal. This treatment is applied to lips and around the lip contour. It utilizes NouriCel-MD®, a proprietary mix of human growth factors. It improves lip texture, minimizes fine lines and increases lip volume over time. Rejuvenating hyaluronic acid and marine filling spheres attract moisture to hydrate and plump. A natural tripeptide stimulates collagen, which over time firms, smoothes and better defines lips. Step two is the lip plumper. The clear plumping gloss is applied to the lip area inside the lip line. It enhances lips’ natural color by stimulating microcirculation and increasing blood flow. It also seals in moisture.
In a study conducted by dermatologist, Nathan S. Trookman, M.D., and Ronald L. Rizer, PhD., for SkinMedica, Inc., thirty-two women with self-perceived and clinically-determined average size lips with mild to moderate dry lips treated themselves three times per day for four weeks with the TNS LipPlump System. Physician evaluations and patient self-assessments were done at baseline, two-weeks and at the end of four-weeks. Average moisturization (degree of moisture on the surface of the lip) improved almost 50% within two weeks and remained at that level at week 4. Average lower lip thickness increased by about 17% over the four-week trial. The dermatologist’s assessments showed marked improvement from baseline – fine lip-lines due to dryness and texture-visual roughness both declined while color (rosiness) and overall definition and contour increased. Patient’s overall satisfaction rating (good/excellent) was 97%. Specifically, patients reported moisturized lips (100%), improved lip appearance (97%), enhanced color (91%), improved lip outline and contour (91%), increased lip volume (81%) and softening of fine lines around the mouth (78%).
