We’ve recently added this new exfoliating gel to our product offerings after utilizing it successfully in The SPA at SBA. We recommend this gel as part of a daily home skin-care regimen that complements our in-office Hydrating Peel.
AFA Exfoliating Gel contains the patented technology of Acidified Amino Acid to help rejuvenate your skin in three ways. First, it exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface of your skin, renewing its texture and appearance. Second, it penetrates deep to nourish and supplement your skin’s natural hydration. That reduces irritation and dryness often associated with other exfoliating products, such as alpha hydroxy acids or tretinoin (vitamin A). Although not as powerful an agent as vitamin A, we recommend this product as one alternative to those who can not tolerate Retin-A or Tazorac. Third, it provides beneficial antioxidation to your skin. Antioxidants are recommended to combat the environmental stressors our skin faces today. Those stressors include pollution, smoking and stress.
We offer both a Mild and a Plus strength of this gel.
