How the Technology works

Cooltone uses a technology that utilizes magnets to stimulate muscle contractions called magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS). The magnets send electromagnetic energy into the targeted muscles resulting in nearly 20,000 pulses over a 30-minute treatment. The treatment is comfortable, and feels like a light muscle spasm. The body reacts the muscle spasms by strengthening the muscles underneath the treatment area, resulting in defined stronger muscles. After treatment it may feel a little sore, but patients will not have to worry about any pain since the technology includes a proprietary portion that helps clear lactic acid from the muscles.

Your CoolTone Treatment

One of our doctors consults with you and determines whether you are a good candidate for a Cooltone treatment series. A basic treatment series consists of 4 treatments, 30 minutes each, ideally 2 per week for 2 weeks total, with one maintenance treatment yearly thereafter. Depending on the patient’s goals for muscle definition, your provider may recommend more treatments initially to get the results you desire. As such we always recommend coming in for a complimentary consultation to learn more about the process and to customize a treatment plan.
