Houston and Katy, Texas, are great places to call home. And because they are home, our practice and our professional staff devote their time, talent, and treasure to numerous worthy causes in our communities. Every year we look at how we can help the people in need and non-profit organizations where we work. Some of the major organizations and efforts with which we are involved and support include the following.
You can find out about future events the staff at our Houston and Katy dermatology clinics are planning by calling our office at (713) 850-0240. If you want to discuss your personal dermatology needs, you can request a consultation online.
Houston Area Women’s Center and Fort Bend Women’s Center
These two local centers help individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence in their efforts to move their lives forward. They help provide shelter, counseling, 24/7 hotlines, and advocacy to support their clients in building lives free of domestic and sexual violence. In addition to our support, our director of operations serves as a board member of HAWC.
Dress for Success Houston
The Houston chapter of this international organization promotes the economic independence of local disadvantaged women by providing professional clothing and accessories, job skills, interview coaching, and a support network as they begin a new phase in their lives.
The Rotary Club of Katy, Texas is a diverse group of business and professional men and women that meets weekly and plans and carries out fundraising activities for Rotary causes and ideals. We are Katy Rotarians, and our largest fundraisers are the Katy Triathalon and the Wild West Brew Fest. The Triathlon raises money for scholarships that are awarded annually to exemplary college-bound students at all Katy ISD high schools. The Brew Fest is ranked the #1 event in the country by BeerYeti.com. In its 4-year history, it’s given away more than $250,000 to dozen of non-profits and other deserving groups that help the less fortunate throughout the Katy community.
Houston and Katy Youth Outreach
The youth of our communities are our future, and we welcome opportunities to help them through sponsorships and speaking about the importance of keeping their skin healthy along with the “how to.” Other focus areas include:
- Katy ISD Education Foundation that provides resources to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and enhance opportunities for Katy ISD students
- Obra D. Tompkins High School Falcon Band trailer (platinum-level sponsor)
- We donate to countless school auctions, helping schools in both Houston and Katy raise funds to support operations and educational activities for their students
The Christ Clinic offers high quality healthcare and health-related services, such as primary care, pharmacy and medication assistance, mental health services, and education, including its regular Walk With the Doctor program. Our Katy dermatologists offer their time and talent when requested to serve the clinic’s patients in need of skin care.Back to Top
