Sculptra® Aesthetic

Many people look for Sculptra treatment in Houston and Katy to reduce signs of aging, such as sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. To address this loss of facial fat beneath the skin, also known as lipoatrophy, we offer FDA-approved Sculptra, which works gradually to provide noticeable yet natural-looking results that can last more than twice as long as other fillers. We are one of the top Sculptra accounts in the United States, and Dr. Bruce has participated in Sculptra clinical research trials.

Your Beautiful Skin

Sculptra is a collagen stimulator that diminishes facial wrinkles by addressing the skin’s underlying structure. Sculptra is different than topical collagen creams because it works deep within the dermis to trigger collagen production and restores facial volume from the inside. Results appear gradually over time and can last up to 2 years as the collagen strands rebuild. Most patients undergo 3 injections over the course of 3 to 4 months to achieve optimal results.

Good candidates for Sculptra are people who want to restore fullness to their face and address fine lines and wrinkles that may make them look older than they feel, without looking like they’ve “had work done.”

Sculptra effectively treats:

  • Deep folds between the nose and mouth
  • Chin wrinkles
  • Marionette lines

Before administering Sculptra, we mark the treatment areas and apply a topical numbing cream to make the procedure more comfortable. We then inject Sculptra into the marked areas and massage the treated locations as a final step.

Recovery

After Sculptra treatment, some patients experience slight swelling or bruising. These issues typically resolve within a few days. Because patients can resume normal daily activities immediately after Sculptra injections, many people schedule appointments during their lunch breaks or in between errands.

Getting the Most from Sculptra

Many of our patients make injectable fillers a regular part of their beauty routine by visiting us for periodic touch-ups and treatments. This usually happens on a recurring schedule, depending on the type of filler. We offer various specials and loyalty programs that benefit our repeat patients. We also offer CareCredit which makes it easy to follow through with your recommended treatment plan while paying over time.

Often Asked

Are the results from Sculptra immediate?

Immediately after treatment, you may look slightly swollen near the injection sites. Any swelling should subside in a few days, and because Sculptra results are gradual, you will begin to see changes close to your second session of injections.

Can I combine Sculptra with other injectables?

Many patients benefit from combining Sculptra with other dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM® or Restylane®, which can address shallower wrinkles and fine lines. Additionally, BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can smooth the dynamic wrinkles made by our facial expressions, such as crow’s feet and worry lines around the eyes. These treatments together can provide more comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

Do I need a skin test before treatment?

Skin testing is not required before being treated with Sculptra. However, you should not use Sculptra if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

Do Sculptra injections hurt?

We typically apply a topical anesthetic to aid in comfort during the injections. Patients sometimes feel slight soreness near the injection site after treatment.

Are there any side effects associated with Sculptra?

Similar to most injectable treatments, patients may experience some redness, swelling, or bruising around the treatment area. However, these symptoms usually resolve quickly, and most patients return to their daily activities immediately following treatment.

How soon after can I wear makeup?

Most patients can reapply makeup several hours after treatment.
