Front Office Personnel

We are looking for a "people person" to join our front office team and work side by side with our fun, dynamic, and energetic team members to deliver exceptional customer service to continue the company tradition of providing top-ranked patient care and support.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

      • Provides excellent customer service to our medical, cosmetic, and spa patients during check-in and check-out
      • Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of requests, communications, and scheduling of patients
      • Uses exemplary telephone skills to present an image of quality where the patient is treated in a consistent, courteous, and efficient manner
      • Collects all relevant information related to the scheduling of the appointment and enters information into Nextech
      • Ensures that all information relevant to the patient and his or her appointment is accurately communicated
      • Attends to all other customer questions, complaints, and concerns immediately and facilitates outstanding resolutions
      • Obtains updated medical history and other necessary outstanding paperwork from established patients
      • Communicates account information to patients regarding balances or credits on their accounts; processes all payments due after services are rendered
      • Calls patients to confirm appointments one day prior to the appointment date

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:

      • Minimum 2 years of medical experience required, with dermatology experience strongly desired
      • Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
      • Call center and insurance verification experience a plus
      • Nextech and/or EMR software experience is desired
      • Self-directed and able to work independently
      • Friendly and courteous at all times
      • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills
      • Uses consistent good judgment and discretion
      • Ability to read, understand, and follows oral and written instruction

 


 

Medical Assistant

As a medical assistant at SBA Dermatology & Plastic Surgery, you will get to work alongside some of the top-ranked dermatologists in the city and leaders in the industry.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

      • Works collaboratively with our medical providers and reporting supervisor on both medical and cosmetic sectors to deliver optimal patient care
      • Prepares patients for examination and treatment, which includes: taking patients' vital signs, preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, administering injections, documenting a brief medical history, and checking patients' charts for pertinent data (i.e. lab results, complete medical records, medications, and allergy information) and communicating information to a physician
      • Assists physicians with exams and minor procedures when requested
      • Takes patients' before-and-after photographs when needed
      • Responsible for accurately documenting information onto the progress note as directed by the physician for particular visits
      • Provides postoperative care instructions, drug samples, and written prescriptions as directed by the physicians
      • Calls in prescriptions and prepares patient charts for billing
      • Inspects rooms for cleanliness after each visit; cleans rooms prior to rooming the next patient
      • Returns patient calls daily in regards to prescriptions and questions; consults with a physician when appropriate

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:

      • MA certification from an accredited program is required
      • Minimum 1-year clinic experience, with 6 months of dermatology experience required
      • Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
      • Nextech and/or EMR software experience is desired
      • CPR certification required
      • Self-directed and able to work independently
      • Friendly and courteous at all times
      • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills
      • Uses consistent good judgment and discretion
      • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction

OSHA Classification:
Classification A: Job classification where ALL PROCEDURES or other job-related tasks involve inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of blood or body fluids.

Description:

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year clinic experience, 6 months of dermatology experience is strongly desired
Full time staff position (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday and Saturday rotation
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Knowledge of Nextech and/or EMR software experience is desired
Knowledge of sterile techniques used in the clinic
Knowledge of suture removal for post-operative patients
Knowledge of Blood Borne pathogen safety precautions, proper handling and disposing
Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) regulations as related to Protected Health Information (PHI)+
